Before you drive in the snow, practice with Weather Channel

Are you wondering what the driving conditions are in your area? The Weather Channel's Driving Game: A Four Wheel Adventure lets players type in their area code and "drive" in the current weather conditions that the area is experiencing. Players can also choose from list of weather conditions in which to drive including heavy and light rains, and heavy and light snow.

In my opinion, the Weather Channel hit the ball out of the park with this advergame. First of all, the game's relevancy to the product is dead on. Players can not only figure out what driving situations will be in their area, but the can actually "practice" driving in these conditions in the weather.com jeep. Not only that, but while driving around the track weather.com gives "drivers" advice about how to drive in the particular conditions. Players can even practice driving in almost any type of weather condition.

The object of the game is to get the fastest time around the track. Players can also pick up Weather Channel umbrellas along the way to earn bonus points. High scores are then posted on a leader board. Overall, this is one of the better advergames I've seen. My only suggestion would be for the Weather Channel to team up with Jeep or Ranger Rover and make that the vehicle which player get to drive in. This way the cost of running the advergame would promote both companies and the cost would be spilt between the two companies. Try this advergame and get some driving practices for the snowy months ahead.
